HIGHER EDUCATION IN PAKISTAN
Higher education in Pakistan has grown up significantly since the country’s independence from Britain in 1947. Actually, the educational system is ruled by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC), which rules funding, research outputs, and teaching quality too. The commission recognizes 174 universities public and private in the country. Some of them are military or vocational in focus. There are 10 top universities in Pakistan featured in the QS University Rankings of Asia in 2016, which highlights the top 350 universities in Asia.
