AHRI

The Animal Health Research Institute (AHRI) is the National Veterinary Laboratory for the Egyptian Veterinary Services, established in 1904. The mandate of the AHRI implies animal health and safety of food from animal origin. AHRI is the scientific backbone of the governmental veterinary infrastructure and considered as the right hand of the veterinary competent authority “GOVS” (General Organization Veterinary Services). AHRI offers different research programs and has 22 departments including: Bacteriology, Brucella, Buffalo Diseases, Food Hygiene, Immunity Measurements, Mycoplasma, Pathology, Virology, Bacteriology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Fish Diseases, Parasitology, etc.
